Red Breasted Phoenix
The day Joy returned ..... A cheeky crooner came to preen Took perch upon my wing mirror Peered in through a dust smeared windscreen Joy had been lonely in the bushes Hide and go-seek such a solitary game From whom had Joy been hiding? Go-seeking so much restrained! But a shaft of Springtime Sunlight Dared to dance in her den of demise Stoked Life in scattered cinders 'RED BREASTED PHOENIX, ARISE!' Joy invoked all her Courage Passion, Self-Love and Trust And let them shine from her swollen heart To Laugh again Joy must So alighting on my wing-mirror Robin's song was crystal clear Why focus on what's behind you? When a Present is right here .... Starring Robin Red Breast of Glengarriff Nature Reserve Poetry, Narration, Paintings, Photos, Video and Hats by Sannainspires :) Comments are closed.
