So the news is I'm no longer a Sheepshead Milliner! It seems I have spread my wings, and taken a soar across Bantry Bay, into the beautiful mountain valley of Glengarriff Nature Reserve .... and I'm now building my new nest, apparently in close company to a couple of pairs of Sea Eagles .... Wow :)
For the last few weeks me and my trusty sidekick Pootle, have been weaving our way back and fore, back and fore along the West Cork coastline, with my little car full to the brim with all my trinkets, pots & pans, books, CD's, homemaking stuff, a mountain of clothes and shoes (oops!), 300 litres of kerosene, boxes of fabric, sewing machines, all my hat making paraphernalia, hats, hats and more hats, and a very fluffy cat :) After about half a dozen car breakdowns (not joking!), wind, torrential rain, hail, thunder, snow and the odd bit of glorious sunshine, we've finally landed, with thanks to the help and support of some wonderful friends and neighbours, old and new. I'm not sure if I've been moving house, Peninsula hopping or shifting dimensions but its certainly been an adventure! So now I'm ready to start exploring a new territory, and if the landscape has any influence, creating some very magic hats :) Might need to take a few days to nurse a few frayed nerves first though ..... watch this space ....
